Jubilee fun in the sun (and rain)

On Monday our Residents Association hosted a Jubilee barbecue and fete for the whole community on the cricket field. It was a fun day, with a few hundred local residents turning out to enjoy jazz music, bouncy castles, more games and, of course, other people’s company. We decided to continue in our vision of serving those with small children by offering a Baby Zone – a place for baby changing, breast feeding alongside somewhere for your little ones to chill out in a ball pool or under a baby gym. We also brought a toddler slide. This, of course, gave us a chance to get to know the families with small children too.

We had tried this at the previous Residents Association event – fireworks back in October. On that occasion our Baby Zone wasn’t so successful as it was cold and dark.   This week, with the weather being better and the event altogether more amenable to young families, the Baby Zone worked much better. The ball pool was a real hit and several mums changed their children on our changing table. Here’s the photos:
